The Third Train (Compiègne, France)

The Third Train is a contemporary design by Gilles Brusset, Marc Blume and Francesca Liggieri. Where the Armistice was signed, subtle design elements symbolise the trenches of the war and the filaments of mycelium. Rail-like benches (the Armistice was signed in a train) invite for contemplation and reflection.
