The city harbour, which has become the place to go for a night out, has become an established part of Münster’s cultural landscape. Whether artists, students or families – everyone enjoys the bustle here by day and by night. The harbour buildings radiate old-style industrial charm and are supplemented by bright glass buildings. A charming view of the water can also be had from one of the numerous restaurants and bars. The harbour has much to offer as a place for events – the theatre and cinema are just 100 metres apart and guests can party into the early hours in the fashionable clubs. The top event at the harbour is the harbour festival, which attracts thousands of visitors to the water every year in summer.
