EUROPEAN GARDEN AWARD 2021

Europäischer Gartenpreis 2021

On 10th September 2021 – after a one year break caused by COVID-19 – the European Garden Award of the Schloss Dyck Foundation (Jüchen, Germany) and of the European Garden Heritage Network EGHN was handed out in Schloss Dyck.

Since 2012 the European Garden Award is supported by Nurseries Lorenz von Ehren.

All winners of first and second prizes in 2021 are presented in two publications. They can be downloaded as PDF: english version ;  german version .

In 2018 and 2019, the European Garden Award was the official contribution to the European Year of Cultiral Heritage. The category introduced to honour cultural landscapes of European relevance was continued this year in a slightly modified form.

Together with awards in two of the categories of the European Garden Award handed out since 2010, three 1st prizes and six 2nd prizes were awarded in three categories in 2021:

  • Protection or development of a cultural landscape
  • Management or development of a historic park or garden
  • Design or concept of a contemporary park or garden
