POM is Sweden’s national program for long-term conservation and use of cultivated plants and their wild relatives. POM started in 2000 as part of the environmental quality objective “A rich agricultural landscape”. POM involves governments, companies, organizations, museums, the Swedish University of Agriculture, The Nordic Gene Bank and botanical gardens.
