Invitation: Webinar on 10 April 2025 from 13:30
For over 20 years, the partners of the European Garden Heritage Network (EGHN) have kindly supported the network in the realisation of events and projects. As an EGHN survey has shown that the impact of climate change on the conservation of (historic) gardens is currently the most pressing issue for many partners, EGHN, the Schloss Dyck Foundation and the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) LWL-Denkmalpflege, Landschafts- und Baukultur in Westfalen invite you to a webinar:
‘Parks and gardens of the future: garden culture despite climate change’
The free event will take place as a Zoom webinar
on 10 April from 13:30 to 16:00.
Subtitles by Zoom will translate the presentations into English, French, Dutch or many otherlanguages to choose from.
We are delighted that we have been able to secure these four speakers for a 30-minute presentation each on practical and strategic issues:
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Swantje Duthweiler, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences: ‘Process-based, dynamic planting concepts with woody plants, perennials and summer flowers according to site-specific, aesthetic and maintenance factors’
Hanna Nimmenich, Arborist, State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg: ‘Natural regeneration and replanting in historic gardens in consideration of climate change’
Heiner Luz, LUZ Landscape Architects Munich: ‘Meadow development and perennial meadows, species-rich meadow seeding, principle of aspect formers’
Holger Rothamel, Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau Foundation: ‘Climate adaptation for historic gardens’.
